Monnie Whitson, the softer side of TK and Monnie in the Morning, grew up in the Upstate....graduated from Eastside High School and then later from Winthrop University. She’s been a secretary, a writer, a nanny, a personal assistant and a waitress, but radio was always her first love. Under the name Wendy White, her first gig was back in 1989 for a country station in Greenville. Her career has led her to Charlotte and Albuquerque…but there’s no place like home, and Monnie is happy to be able to work and live in the Upstate once again. She lives downtown with her fur babies, Irwin the Mouse Hunter, and Flower, the miniature Australian Shepherd. Some of her hobbies include dumpster diving, thrift shopping, painting, gardening and bubble baths.
