TK decided his radio career at the age of 17. While sitting through a class lecture from a communications industry engineer, TK was inspired to build a “pirate” radio station on his high school campus. “Things just came together! The engineer-guy let me borrow a couple of pieces of equipment, my fourth period teacher was VERY understanding, and nobody really used that little maintenance shed anyway…” And thus, a radio career was launched.

 

TK has spent time in a number of markets since, including his college years in Springfield, MO, eight years on Long Island and NYC, and over a dozen years in Knoxville (hosting the number one AC morning show there), before coming to the Upstate.

 

TK is married to his high school sweetheart, Tammy (a name which, in some foreign tongue, means, “very patient woman”). Together, they have three children- Tyler, Jordan and Ellie. Since moving to the Upstate, they have chosen to enjoy the country life in Gray Court – a quaint little South Carolina town where anything can happen- but rarely does!

 

TK thinks Monnie is one of the funniest women he’s ever met, and once, even told her so. Together, they host the most entertaining, honest, and –dare we say funny- morning show in the Upstate.
