All through February we took entries from Magic listeners and we are excited to congratulate our teacher for March in the 2009-2010 school year... March's Teacher Who Makes Magic, Mrs. Fran Mooneyham, a guidance counselor for Wren Middle School in Piedmont. Read the nominating letter and see why we found this teacher to be Magic!
" I have a 12-year-old autistic son named Ryan. We were all very concerned when he started middle school. We knew things would be different. Mrs. Mooneyham has been completely wonderful! She has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make Ryan feel comfortable. She has been a Godsend to our family. Last year she was there for Ryan and developed a trusting relationship with him that helped us get through some tough times. This year, when he moved on to 7th grade, she hand-picked his teachers and educated them on all his different behaviors. She is the most dedicated person I have ever met. I thank God for putting such a wonderful person in Ryan's life!"
